Cristo Rey High School has an innovative curriculum which includes a corporate work experience. All students are employed throughout the school year in a Sacramento area business performing clerical work. Currently, over 80 companies sponsor a team(s) of students. Through participation CRHS Sacramento Work-Study Inc. students are able to finance large portion of their education making it possible to attend a private, college preparatory high school.

The high school utilizes a unique schedule. Students attend academic classes four extended days per week and work one full day per week.

Our generous Work-Study sponsors to provide full-time entry level position(s) to be shared by a team of four students. Most sponsors provide clerical positions involving copying, collating, filing, delivery, etc. Many of our students have proven themselves to be capable of higher level and/or different type of work. The students work from late August to early June. Cristo Rey provides door to door transportation for the students and works closely with each sponsor to provide training and supervision to our students.

Our students are bright, hard working. From hospitals to law firms, to the Senate and Assembly, our students are receiving opportunities never realized previously. Our students make a difference in the work place and significantly benefit from the mentoring relationship of our sponsors.
